Eid marks the end of Ramzan, when Muslims across the world fast from dawn to dusk. Just as the month of Ramzan began with sighting of the crescent moon, Eid festivities also begin only after the moon is sighted. In India, though, only Kerala and Jammu and Kashmir are celebrating the festival today, while the rest of the country will observe Eid festivities tomorrow. But that doesn't mean that celebrations haven't begun already. Take a look at pictures from across the country of Indians celebrating Eid al-Fitr. (Express photo by Vishal Srivastav)
